For a project that we had assigned for our class, the directions instructed us to go to SoundCloud and record a short melody that we had created. The day we were working on the assignment, the application SoundCloud was not downloaded on our computers therefore we were not able to use it. We were all forced to find a different application that could do the same thing as SoundCloud. I had no clue what SoundCloud was, so I had to Google searched SoundCloud. I found out that SoundCloud was an arrangement/composition website.

I have experience with some composition websites like Finale, Sibelius, Musescore, and Noteflight. I decided to work with Sibelius since that is the one program that I have the most experience and schooling on. That same website needed some way to record which Sibelius has along with the elements of being able to compose. It took me a little to get use to the program because I had not used it in a few months, but I was able to write the short melody that I was assigned and also record into the program.

After doing the first part of this assignment, with some complications, I realized that I can relate it to a classroom setting. Not all the time will your plans go accordingly. Sometimes technology will fail or even lesson plans, and you will have to improvise in the classroom. Being able to change up plans last minute will help a teacher be more comfortable with changing things up. Also having some knowledge on different programs/applications that do the same thing will help a lot in the classroom because if one fails then there is a backup plan.
